You MUST install this from scratch, upgrading from trunk or from 0.9 stable is NOT supported.

This is a preview release of Mahara 1.0 Alomohora. Things will be broken! Please do not file bug reports, but we are interested to hear your feedback on the new features, through #mahara on freenode, e-mail to dev@mahara.org or the forums on eduforge.

This release includes:

• Forums for groups
• Usability work, consisting of:
  • A new sideblock, containing information about the user
  • Reworked groups pages, making it easier to find your groups and search for new groups to join
  • Reworked views pages for increased clarity and usability
• Institutional Administrators
  • Administrators that can handle the day-to-day activities of running an institution, such as user management, taking the load off of the site administrator.
• An LDAP Authentication plugin, thanks to Howard Miller of Glasgow University

As mentioned, there is no supported upgrade path. Attempting to upgrade an existing Mahara will result in a broken system, so do not try this yet.
