Hello Nigel,

I was wondering if you could tell me if Mahara 1.1 has the two following features:

1. Regular Users can open a group from the list of groups and see the members of the group.
2. All members of the site can send a message to a group (one message for all the members of a group sent at once)

I am holding up to upgrade my current version of Mahara (1.04)till these features are around because it will greatly improve the usability of the site. I would love to have visitors (companies) able to look at who is inside a group of students that are in a particular major (relevant to the visitor industry), and eventually send a message to all of them at once for example for a job offer.

Mahara 1.1 has the first

Mahara 1.1 has the first feature, but not the second. The second feature sounds like it has the potential to be abused by other users on the site, and as such would need a group preference so that groups could choose whether they received such messages.

You might want to file a feature request for it, so that we don't forget :)
