New Zealand Open Source Awards
In recognition of the contribution to education, Mahara won the category for 'open source use in education' at last night's New Zealand Open Source Awards 2008. It was high recognition from the great and the good of the New Zealand open source community .

A cast of many helped to get Mahara to the stage it is at today and have ensured that it has gone from strength to strength. As the enhancements to the forthcoming release of Mahara 1.1 can testify, there is growing involvement and contribution from the international Mahara community.

Great news, well deserved!
