I think it will be good if students can list their reading books and their comments.

I found this feature in metaschool.org.

User can search books they are reading and post idea with thumnail image of the book.

Sounds like an interesting idea. You could put it on the feature request tracker? I imagine it would be a rather simple artefact plugin for someone to write.

Librarything

On this theme a pretty useful plugin would be for Librarything. http://www.librarything.com/ Currently of course an RSS feed could be linked into a View, but Librarything allows for the visual display of titles in a Blog or Moodle for example.

Tutors could share reading lists in a class View this way, students could list and comment on books that they have read that have helped them with their course, collections could be assigned to a Group.
